The experts at the club said it's a box plate, based on the absence of buckle devices on the back. However, another fellow who knows about these things looked at it and showed me where he thought the buckle parts had corroded away. So, now I'm not sure. I'm certainly no expert on these.

Thanks. Was a real surprise where I was hunting. Other stuff in the area was newer - 1902 Indian head, 1930s token from a Little Rock furniture store, etc.
