I really don't have any info on Mammoth Springs. i have only been there one time and that was for just a couple of hours sight seeing.

they have a civil war site on the state park there. I talked to a young man that works for the State he said his granpa picked up 2 5 galon buckets of minni balls on his farm

I got permission through the Mtn.Home Corp to hunt the beaches on Norfork and I found a 1894-1896 Iver Johnson top break pistol frame and pre-1912 38 s&w shell casing at panther bay beach. I've only searched half of it. Let me know if you find the rest of the gun.

I used to get up your way quite a lot. Seems like I read something of interest that way. Not sure if it was a good place to hunt or a CW camp or something. If I find out more, I will keep ya posted. The Cotter Springs park area is old. Are you able to hunt around there any?
